Family Engagement Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Engagement Worker to join our team at HMP Onley. In this crucial role, you will provide essential support to prisoners and their families, building strong relationships, and advocating for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Conduct comprehensive assessments of family needs, develop individualized support plans, and monitor progress. Implement evidence-based interventions to strengthen family relationships and promote resilience.
  • Family Support: Offer practical and emotional support to families, including crisis intervention, information provision, and signposting to external services. Facilitate effective communication between prisoners and their families through in-person and virtual visits.
  • Advocacy: Champion the rights and needs of families, advocating for their involvement in decision-making processes and accessing essential services.
