Mechanical Engineer for Construction Equipment

At Finning Canada, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the role of Rebuild Repair Specialist. As part of our industry-leading organization, you will be responsible for carrying out reconditioning and maintenance on Caterpillar products. Your primary focus will be on supporting 2nd life overhauls to products within the Construction Equipment product group.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with strong electrical, hydraulic, and engine troubleshooting skills. You will be working in a large workshop environment, supporting the repair and maintenance of CAT machinery. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, and graders.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of general service manuals and computerised Service Information Systems (SIS) from OEMs. You will also have practical knowledge of tooling and specialised equipment to conduct repairs on difficult and heavy machinery. Additionally, you will possess knowledge of rigging, slinging, and jacking procedures.
As a Mechanical Engineer at Finning Canada, you can expect to earn a competitive salary between $35,000 and $39,800 per year. This figure is based on your experience and qualifications.
