Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced English Functional Skills Tutor to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality teaching sessions to adult learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English to adults, with a proven track record of success in improving student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of adult learners.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE grades 9 to 4, A* to C, or equivalent).
  • Proven track record of effective teaching within the subject specialism, with a strong focus on adult education.
  • Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent, such as a PGCE or a Master's degree in Education.
  • Ability to secure a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

  • Competitive salary inclusive of London Weighting Bonus (£30,000 - £45,000 per annum).
