About This Role

This Full-time band 6 Health for All Nurse position is available within the Glasgow Specialist Children's Services team, working closely with Care Experienced children & young people aged between 0-19 years, as well as Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking young people.

The successful candidate will conduct holistic health assessments, work in partnership with service users, local authorities, care providers, and other agencies to ensure effective provision of services that reduce health inequalities and promote wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct health needs assessments for Care Experienced and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking young people
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to identify and plan health interventions
  • Liaise with local authorities, care providers, and other agencies to complete health assessments and provide support
  • Educate clients on healthy practices and refer them to relevant services when necessary
  • Escalate child protection concerns when required
Requirements
  • Registered nurse with NMC council registration
  • Education to degree level
  • Post-registration study relevant to this role
  • IT skills and driving license
