Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and safe environment for our children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to designated children or young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Develop and implement individual care plans, working closely with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Requirements
- Good standard of literacy, with the ability to write reports and applications.
- Grade D or above (3+) in GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above (4-9) preferred).
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, with a commitment to achieving this qualification within two years of appointment.
- Desirable skills and experience include awareness of child development needs, knowledge of children's home regulations, and experience working with children with disabilities.
