About the Role

Aramark is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a Marine Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional culinary services to our clients' vessels operating in the Tyne-Tees area of Northern England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that all culinary operations are conducted in accordance with Aramark's and our clients' policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on hygiene and safety.
  • Culinary Services: Prepare and provide meals that are balanced, varied, and interesting, taking into account any special dietary requirements of the crew onboard.
  • Galley Management: Ensure that all working hygiene standards in the galley area of operations meet both the company's and statutory requirements.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage the ordering, storage, and use of all catering stores, within budget confines.
  • Quality Control: Continually monitor all freezer and chill areas, and report any defects or issues to the Chief Engineer.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any defects, issues, or concerns to the Master or his delegated authority.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Full STCW certification, Ships Cook CoC, and unrestricted ENG1 Medical (mandatory).
  • Culinary Qualifications: Food Hygiene Level 2 (minimum requirement) and C&G 7061/2 or NVQ/SVQ Culinary qualifications (mandatory).
