About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attendance Officer to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a key member of our pastoral care team, you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional pastoral care and support to students, addressing attendance and welfare concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to develop and implement strategies to improve student attendance and engagement.
  • Manage attendance records, tracking student absences and lateness, and communicating with parents and guardians as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, staff, and parents to promote a positive and supportive school culture.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of attendance and welfare policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in education, social work, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in attendance and welfare administration, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
