Childcare Development Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Development Officer to join our Early Years Business, Sufficiency and Funding Team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading and facilitating strategic development for Early Years across the City, working with a range of partners. This will involve providing advice and guidance in relation to business, sufficiency and funding to early years and wraparound childcare provision for children aged up to 11 years.

Key Responsibilities- Work in partnership with training providers to raise awareness of job opportunities within the childcare workforce.
- Promote job vacancies in childcare as advertised on Coventry Jobs Website and Family Information Directory.
- Undertake community-based activities, attending events, visiting stakeholders, and engaging with them to ensure effective information dissemination.
- Implement systems to ensure the early years workforce in Coventry has access to relevant training.
- Relevant ICT qualification and/or skills sufficient to develop systems and analyse data.
- Relevant Level 3 or above qualification or relevant work experience that demonstrates the skills and abilities required to perform the tasks of the post.
- Good planning, time management, organisational skills, and ability to work to deadlines.
- Proficiency in the use of online marketing platforms and tools.
We offer a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will be required to visit locations across the city as part of their weekly workplan and may be required to work outside normal working hours on an ad hoc basis.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
