We are seeking a Home Support Assistant to join our team at Disability North. In this role, you will provide support to our clients in their family home, assisting with daily tasks and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with household chores, meal preparation, and supporting with correspondence
  • Engage in activities with clients, such as walking in the local area
  • Support clients with daily living tasks, such as heavy lifting and prompting of medication

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in supporting individuals in their home and always work to a person-centered approach. A sense of humor is a must, and experience of handling medication is preferred. Some knowledge of autism is also beneficial due to one child being challenged with Autism & GDD. You must be comfortable working alongside animals and have a valid driver's license (automatic car desirable).

Salary and Benefits

">

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £25,600 per annum, based on 10 hours of work per week. We offer a range of benefits, including enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references. This is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
