Elite Associates: Assistant Merchandiser Position

About the Job:

We are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join our commercial team at Elite Associates. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career in merchandising and contribute to the success of our business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Stock Management: Assist in managing stock levels to maximise profit through sales.
  • Manage Allocations: Manage allocations to ensure allocation plans are met.
  • Support Sales Process: Support the sales process to maximise sales while protecting margin and profit.
  • Report Production: Ensure accurate production, maintenance, and circulation of departmental, brand analysis reports on a weekly basis.
  • Markdowns and Promotions: Oversee markdowns and promotions.
  • Delivery Monitoring: Monitor and analyse deliveries, working closely with suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers on cost price and delivery dates.
  • Cost Price Reduction: Ensure cost price reduction in relation to deliveries.
  • Multi-Channel Analysis: Support multi-channel analyses.
  • Forecasting: Responsible for updating WSSI and assisting in departmental forecasting.
  • Support Functions: Support merchandiser with solid analysis and preparation for key meetings.
  • Seasonal Plans: Support merchandising team in creating seasonal sales and buying plans.
  • Team Induction: Plan induction for new employees within the merchandising team.
  • Team Development: Coach and develop junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record in multi-product roles.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills.
  • Trend Identification: Ability to identify key trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Team Management: Experience of managing a team and supporting sign offs.
  • Time Management: Ability to deliver to tight timescales and work under pressure.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills.

Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum.
