Geriatrics Specialist Physician

We are seeking an exceptional Geriatrics Specialist Physician to join our team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the expansion of our Geriatrics/General Internal Medicine Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing new medical admissions, developing functional links with the community, and ensuring timely completion of all documentation. They will also have the opportunity to work in a non-hierarchical setting, offering a wide range of Geriatrics procedures in busy District General Hospitals and community settings.

• Review all new medical admissions when rostered for Geriatrics on-call duty within the timeframe of the operational standard for the Trust.
• Further develop functional links with the community to facilitate seamless transfer of patients between the community and the hospital.
• Ensure timely completion of all documentation pertinent to an admission, transfer, discharge, or death, in line with hospital standards.
• Acute Frailty assessment and Surgical liaison work along with Virtual ward and OPAT work as per allocated shift and rota.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, 12 years post-graduation experience, and evidence of specific training/experience in Geriatrics and/or general medicine.
