Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Asset Manager to oversee the execution of construction and asset replacement projects on 11kV - 132kV distribution networks. Key responsibilities will include undertaking operational, technical and safety duties associated with project execution, ensuring teams work safely, and verifying new/modified electrical apparatus is fit for purpose.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Power Distribution, ideally within a Distribution Network Owner environment at 11kV or above. A Senior Authorised Person certificate and SSEN DNO Authorisation – Up to 33kV Full SFT are mandatory requirements.

This role involves leading by example, promoting a positive working culture, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and be able to think critically to resolve complex electrical issues.

Main Responsibilities:

* Execute HV switching, isolation, earthing, identification of the point of work, and issue of safety documentation duties on HV networks up to 11kV, 33kV and/or 132kV in accordance with customer safety rules and operational procedures.
* Prepare switching programmes, including system alteration forms.
* Ensure accurate execution of operational schedules on site and safety document issue to construction teams for work on HV networks.
* Undertake spiking of HV cables and pressure testing of new/modified plant before energisation.
* Support construction teams using sound technical knowledge.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 5 years of experience in Power Distribution, preferably within a Distribution Network Owner environment at 11kV or above.
* Holding a Senior Authorised Person certificate and SSEN DNO Authorisation – Up to 33kV Full SFT.
* Strong technical knowledge, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to lead by example, promote a positive working culture, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
