Job Description: Prison Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Prison Nurse to provide high-quality care to inmates in a secure and supportive environment at HMP Berwyn.

Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver high-standard nursing care, prioritizing the physical and mental well-being of patients.
  2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  3. Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating patient outcomes in line with prison protocols.
  4. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, prison staff, and external agencies.
  5. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
Hourly Rate:
  1. The estimated hourly rate for this position is £35.82 per hour for Saturdays and nights.
Key Qualifications:
  1. NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disabilities) is mandatory.
  2. Previous experience in a custodial or secure environment is required.
  3. NOMS Clearance is essential; applicants must have active clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
  4. Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently are necessary.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a non-judgmental approach, are vital.
