We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our flow cytometry team in Europe. This role involves performing installations, preventive maintenance, and repair services for customers' equipment in the UK and Ireland.

About the Role:

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with groundbreaking technology and be part of a dedicated team of engineers. You will schedule and perform installations and preventative maintenance on assigned instrumentation, conduct emergency repair visits across Europe, communicate product quality issues, collaborate with sales personnel and Field Applications Specialists, handle customer accounts, identify leads for post-instrument sales, upgrades, and accessories, maintain inventory of service parts, and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and perform installations and preventative maintenance on assigned instrumentation
  • Conduct emergency repair visits across Europe
  • Communicate any product quality issues to the appropriate associates
  • Collaborate closely with territory sales personnel and Field Applications Specialists
  • Handle customer accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Identify and communicate leads for post-instrument sales, upgrades, and accessories
  • Maintain organized inventory of service parts to support service requirements within your assigned territory
  • Stay up-to-date with compliance requirements in your area of work and ensure compliance

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in field service on medical research or diagnostic products, ideally working on flow cytometers
  • Bachelor's degree or technical education or military technical training
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent customer focus, strong organization, and follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated team player with positive work environment spirit and mutual respect
  • Ability to travel approximately 80% within the UK, requiring a full clean driving license

Salary Estimate: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, based on industry standards for similar roles in the UK.
