Simon Acres Recruitment are recruiting for a luxury German kitchen retailer seeking an experienced Technical Kitchen Designer to join their North London studio design team.

Salary: £25,000 basic + 1% Studio Profit (£35,000 O.T.E)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm. Saturday 10.00 - 5.00pm.

Working approximately two Saturdays per month, sometimes one, sometimes three, depending on how the weeks fall in the month, with a day off in the week.

Previous experience in the kitchen and design industry is a must. This role provides an excellent opportunity to progress in the future.

The Role:
  1. Attend client briefing meetings to assist the Studio Manager/Senior Designer, taking full notes during the meeting.
  2. Liaise with Studio Manager/Senior Designer to discuss ideas on layout, functionality, and finishes.
  3. Follow up with the client to book the presentation meeting date.
  4. Prepare project designs using Compusoft Winner.
  5. Create technical drawings and 3D renders of the projects and collate A1 presentation documents.
  6. Prepare project quotations by sourcing costs for all third-party products.
  7. Input all associated project costs including the kitchen furniture, which will be calculated via Compusoft Winner drawing.
  8. Attend project presentation meetings and organise deposit paperwork to be sent to the client.
  9. Process post-sale administration and migrate relevant documents.
  10. Prepare contract drawings.
  11. Send relevant documents to the client for contract signing.
  12. Prepare all relevant information for M&E drawings.
  13. Process kitchen furniture orders to the factory.
  14. Check furniture order confirmation with the Studio Manager/Senior Designer and Installation Manager.
  15. Prepare installation drawings.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the KBB industry.
  2. High-end, luxury or bespoke KBB experience.
  3. Experienced in using CAD software, ideally Compusoft Winner.
  4. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and hard-working.
  5. Ability to think fast, work well under pressure, and have excellent attention to detail.
  6. Ability to communicate at all levels by phone, email, and in person.
  7. Confident, professional, and well-presented.
