About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Governance Officer/Senior Corporate Governance Officer to join our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team at BDO UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients on risk management, internal control, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement practical and cost-effective enterprise risk management solutions for clients
  • Help clients tailor and design a framework that meets their governance requirements while remaining practical and efficient
  • Provide controls assurance, helping clients to ensure their risks are being mitigated effectively for their own governance purposes
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored advice and solutions
  • Collaborate with other BDO teams and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality services to clients
Requirements
  • Professional qualification ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CMIIA (CIA + 3 QIAL case studies) or equivalent is desirable
  • Dedication to client service and commitment to quality
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Focus on delivering results and problem-solving
  • Effective time management skills, completing assignments within time budgets and to schedule while handling multiple tasks
  • Demonstrate clear ownership and accountability
  • Experience in coaching and supervising team members
  • Ability to collaborate with other BDO teams and subject matter experts
  • Big picture thinking from a knowledge of current economic and market trends
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience in using flow charting software
  • Flexibility to travel on a regular basis locally with potential for wider travel including occasional international assignments
