European Finance Manager Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced European Finance Manager to join our team at RD Financial Recruitment. About the Role
As the European Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments to suppliers. You will also serve as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies. Your expertise in Making Tax Digital (MTD) software and filings will be essential in ensuring compliance with ESG reporting and submissions in the UK, Ireland, and EU.
Key Responsibilities
- Statutory Accounts & Tax Compliance: Oversee the production and filing of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, duty submissions, and other required filings for the UK, Ireland, and EU entities.
- External Liaison: Serve as the key business contact for external auditors, tax advisors, HMRC (UK), ROS (Ireland), and other regulatory bodies.
- MTD Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert and superuser for Making Tax Digital (MTD) software and filings.
- Advisory Role: Provide guidance to the US Finance team and US tax team on differences between USGAAP, US taxation and UKGAAP, VAT, and Corporation Tax.
- Accounts Payable Management: Lead the Accounts Payable team, ensuring correct invoice processing and timely supplier payments.
- Monthly Processes: Support the monthly management accounts production, balance sheet reconciliations, and business reviews.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting and submissions in the UK, Ireland, and EU.
- SOX Compliance: Take ownership of SOX compliance for the UK company.
- Budget & Forecasting: Participate in the production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Global Projects: Contribute to global projects and provide advice on legislative changes impacting the UK, Ireland, and EU regions.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in finance and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a strong part-qualified professional with substantial experience in a similar role.
What We Offer
In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000, complemented by a 15% performance-based bonus.
