Salary: Up to £80,874 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for the children and young people services, driving forward improvements in quality and outcomes. This will involve developing and implementing systemic approaches to social care, working closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure seamless integration between quality assurance and practice improvement. The role also encompasses responsibility for monitoring safeguarding responsibilities, performance, and training of staff, as well as promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead the development, planning, and delivery of a systemic service, embedding systemic ideas and practices into all aspects of children's social care.
  • To work collaboratively with the Quality Assurance Service Lead to close the loop between quality assurance and practice improvement.
  • To ensure that services are rigorously evaluated in terms of quality and outcomes, and that they continuously improve in response to children's and young people's needs.
  • To monitor and report on national and local performance and quality indicators, ensuring effective and timely achievement of targets.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of systemic approaches to social care, and a proven track record of driving improvements in quality and outcomes. A strong background in child protection and a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion are also essential. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
