Project Manager Job Description

At Wavin UK, an Orbia business, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in Chippenham, United Kingdom. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering assigned projects safely, on time, and within budget, ensuring that all project elements meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage projects, including development of project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage a team of project engineers and internal/external stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
  • Deliver projects through to completion on time and within budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet our quality expectations.
  • Identify, reduce, and manage all risks associated with each project, including technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial, and other risks.
  • Provide leadership and on-the-ground project management, including supporting and coaching for project activity to operations teams engaged with projects.
  • Work with other operational managers to ensure the collaborative deployment of projects.
  • Lead plant Capex investment activity through project feasibility studies and proposal development.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of three project engineers.
  • Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities and in delivering contractual commitments on secured projects.
Requirements:
  • Engineering graduate (B.A. Project Management degree and experience within Lean Manufacturing is desirable).
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Previous experience of delivering all levels of projects to completion on time, in budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Expertise to identify, reduce, and manage all risks (technical, statutory H&S commercial and otherwise) associated with each project.
  • Experience of developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to achieve goals.
