Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a skilled Primary Teacher to join their team at a dedicated special needs primary school in Brent. This role involves teaching and supporting students with developmental levels ranging from 8 months to 5/6 years, who have severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), global developmental delay, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).

About the Role:

This position requires a flexible and creative approach to meet each student's unique needs, fostering their growth and development in a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the developmental levels of the students.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress.
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to provide holistic support.
  • Managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour management strategies.

We are looking for a qualified teacher with prior experience working in an SEN setting, preferably with primary-aged students. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of children with SLD, ASD, global delay, and MLD, as well as a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
