Job Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant.

This exciting opportunity is available from January 2025, working in a supportive and diverse primary school in Haringey, London.

The ideal candidate will be committed to making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, providing one-to-one support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism.

The role involves:
  • Providing 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism, ensuring they are motivated and engaged in their learning.
  • Encouraging the pupil to stay on track with lessons and targets set by the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet the pupil's individual needs and abilities.
  • Supporting the pupil's social and emotional development, fostering confidence and independence.


Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with special needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children.
  • A solid understanding of Autism and strategies to support children with additional needs.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping every child succeed.
