Academic Governance Manager

Michael Page (UK) is seeking a Governance Manager to lead the governance function for a NFP organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage governance meetings, including setting agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-ups.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes within the not-for-profit sector and ensure the organisation's compliance.
  • Facilitate risk management processes and develop risk mitigation strategies to protect the organisation's interests.
  • Promote a culture of good governance within the organisation, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure the organisation's compliance with charity legislation and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a governance role, preferably within a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to effectively communicate with the board and other stakeholders.
