About the Opportunity

Join our team of talented engineers at Amazon as a Lead Firmware Engineer and contribute to the development of cutting-edge streaming solutions for our home security and smart home products.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing market leading streaming capabilities across our full stack, with a particular emphasis on firmware-level optimizations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop high-performance, scalable, and reliable streaming solutions for Ring's products, from firmware to cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, and cloud engineering, to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end optimization.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in developing streaming solutions, with a strong emphasis on firmware and embedded systems.
  • Proven expertise in video/audio codecs, streaming protocols (WebRTC, RTSP, etc.), and real-time communication technologies.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
