Research Assistant or Associate in Sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Research Assistant or Associate in Sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to cutting-edge research and development of innovative tools and methods to address pressing sustainability challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis on sustainability and life cycle assessment of Hydrogen Production Technologies
  • Develop and apply systems thinking to solve sustainability challenges
  • Collaborate with Professor Nick Voulvoulis and the project's partners to drive impactful research
  • Analyse large datasets and apply suitable techniques for integration and visualisation
  • Assist in writing research reports and preparing publications for refereed journals

Requirements:

  • Hold, or near completion of, a PhD (or equivalent) in Sustainability or Environmental Management or a closely related discipline (Research Associate)
  • Hold a first degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a closely related discipline (Research Assistant)
  • Strong background in environmental science, environmental technology and systems, with experience in Life cycle assessment (LCA)
  • Practical experience in a broad range of other research techniques including Sustainability and Environmental Risk Assessments
  • Proficiency in mathematical modelling and related statistical procedures
