Job Summary

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor at a major international real estate investment and development business to play an instrumental role facilitating the delivery of high-end, cutting-edge design-led mixed-use schemes in some of London's most prestigious locations.

This business has evolved over a number of decades amassing an exemplary development portfolio typified by collaboration with leading domestic and international architectural practices, as well as being strong proponents of sustainable development.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role supporting the delivery and cost control of a high-profile mixed-use scheme, undertaking the following responsibilities as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial aspects of construction projects ensuring all costs are managed and controlled efficiently.
  • Preparation and management of detailed project budgets ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning.
  • Management of JCT contracts ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate and lead procurement processes undertaking complex negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and terms.
  • Conduct frequent valuations for completed works.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payments to contractors and suppliers.
  • Lead the identification and mitigation of risks associated with project costs and contracts.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and financial statements for senior management and stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Manage, agree, and record all change and variations to orders.

The successful candidate will be a RICS-accredited Quantity Surveyor who has acquired in-house experience at a leading main contractor or mixed-use real estate development business who has delivered major projects preferably including high-end tall buildings.

In addition, you will have a degree in Quantity Surveying with a grade 2:1 and above, with good Excel and reporting skills.

Moreover, you'll have exemplary negotiation, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with natural drive and enthusiasm.
