Job Description

  • We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team of professionals who provide specialist support to young people with autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behavior.

Responsibilities

">
  • The successful candidate will work as part of our multi-disciplinary team, providing sensory occupational therapy to up to 60 young people.
  • They will be responsible for assessing the needs of our young people, monitoring progress, and conducting direct therapeutic work to train staff.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to convey sensitive information to young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • They will also possess excellent time management skills, be self-motivated, and able to organize and prioritize their work to meet deadlines.

Requirements

">
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with autism and severe learning disabilities is required.
  • The successful candidate will be a friendly, approachable individual with the ability to engage with young people effectively.
  • They will also have a clear understanding of the role of a Sensory Occupational Therapist and possess a caring attitude and a desire to improve outcomes for our young people.
