Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Clinical and Patient Services team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our clinical wards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to work closely with our clinical teams to complete medicines reconciliation and ensure appropriate medicines management. You will also be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operational organization of the dispensaries, including the safe, efficient, and timely dispensing of prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clinical teams to complete medicines reconciliation and ensure appropriate medicines management
  • Assist with the day-to-day operational organization of the dispensaries
  • Ensure the safe, efficient, and timely dispensing of prescriptions
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the dispensaries at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust - St Helier site

Requirements
  • BTEC / NVQ Level 3 Certified Pharmacy Technician registered with GPhC
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) Certificate
  • Post qualification hospital experience
  • Experience in supervision of staff
  • Patient counselling
