Job Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education of children with special educational needs. You will work closely with the teaching team to provide individualized support and create a positive learning environment.

Working Pattern
This is a part-time position, with 22.5 hours per week, term time only, including INSET days.

Contract Type
This is a permanent contract.

Full-Time Equivalent Salary
The salary for this position is £22, £23,114.00 Annually (FTE) NJC England & Wales 37 SCP 3-4 (FTE £22,737 - £23,114).

Job Summary

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the teaching team, working closely with the teacher to provide individualized support and create a positive learning environment. You will have the opportunity to use your skills and initiative to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for the children.

Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual who:
  • Has experience of working with children with special educational needs in class, small groups, and one-to-one situations.
  • Has English and Maths Grade C GCSE or equivalent.
  • Has NVQ Level 2 or above.
  • Is firm, kind, patient, consistent, and approachable.
  • Is friendly and ready to join in and engage with learning with the children.
