About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at SSI Services. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical apparatus and associated ancillary equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing and maintaining mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, and pipework.
- Undertaking risk assessments and associated paperwork to ensure a safe system of work.
- Assisting management in the programming of scheduled maintenance aligned to company requirements.
- Liaising with management and operatives to identify repair and maintenance requirements.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Mechanical Maintenance.
- Ability to read and translate schematic and technical drawings.
- Experience of working in the utility sector is an advantage.
- Ability to problem solve and diagnose faults on machinery and equipment.
- A full driving licence and willingness to work away from home as required.
