Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Signal Engineer to join our Consultancy Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of traffic engineering projects, including design, traffic modelling, and report writing. Your expertise will be essential in managing projects from bid and tender stages to financial project management and ongoing customer support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in delivering traffic engineering projects across the UK, adhering to national and local standards, guidance, and best practices.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with traffic engineering projects.
  • Travel for site visits and customer meetings, with overnight stays as necessary.
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications.
  • Prepare consultancy/design quotations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with other business areas and customers.
  • Problem-solving skills for complex challenges.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage your workload independently.
Preferred Qualifications

A good understanding of traffic engineering competencies, including:

  • Traffic signal design fundamentals and UK standards/specifications.
  • Traffic engineering software, including AutoCAD, preferably with KeySignals.
  • Knowledge of traffic signal products across the industry.
