W P Recruitment & HR Ltd is seeking a skilled Highways Operative to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and physically fit individual with good level of previous groundwork experience, preferably in civil engineering, to work on various infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform groundwork and civil engineering duties, including drainage, concreting, kerbing/bricklaying, and tarmacking.
  • Operate machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Manual handling and driving duties as required.
  • Adhere to technical specifications, quality, and health and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in groundwork, preferably in civil engineering.
  • Full driver's license, with 7.5 tonne (C1) driving license preferred.
  • Reliable and physically fit, with ability to work well in a team.
  • Higher pay rates may be available to candidates with NRSWA, EXCAVATOR, DUMPER tickets.

Salary:

£11.57 - £12.48 per hour worked, PAYE, with overtime paid at 1.5.
