Production Planning Role in Metal Forging Industry

We're looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team at Independent Forgings and Alloys Ltd. As a key member of our production control team, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality forged components to customers.

About the Job Description:

  • Develop and implement effective production plans, using our computerized planning system to manage production schedules and forecasts.
  • Liaise daily with production departments to address any issues or concerns that may impact production.
  • Manage orders from receipt to dispatch, including communication with NPI teams and processes prior to production.
  • Collaborate with the wider production control team to ensure all ancillary functions are kept at an appropriate standard.

Requirements:

  • Experience in planning workload on production equipment with excellent communication skills and strong IT skills.
  • A good understanding of metal forging techniques and knowledge of the effects of hot working metals and associated metallurgy.
