About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our Geotechnical Engineering department at BAM Nuttall. As a Site Manager, you will play a leading role in the planning and execution of our works across the UK, ensuring that all projects are delivered to the highest standard.

Your Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the tender stage and site phase methodology, ensuring that all projects are well-planned and executed.
  • Implement and promote safe systems of work across all activities, ensuring the health and safety of all personnel.
  • Directly supervise section/trades foremen and sub-contractors, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Supervise operations through effective delegation, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality, health and safety, and environmental management.
  • Assist in the development of the workforce, identifying training requirements and providing support to ensure that all personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Ensure that all works are completed to a high standard, meeting or exceeding the specification requirements.
Requirements
  • SMSTS certification
  • PTS certification
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Medium Risk Confined Space Level 2 C&G or greater (desired but training can be provided)
  • Strong personal skills, including effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Awareness of project and business goals, with the ability to relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement
  • Practical experience and knowledge of a comprehensive range of ground engineering methods and techniques
