About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced van driver to join our team in Carlisle, delivering goods across Monday to Saturday. As a dedicated Final Mile Van Driver, you will be responsible for collecting freight from depots and sending it out to allocated areas or collecting from designated units and delivering within your assigned zone.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently collect and deliver freight, adhering to scheduled hours and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Maintain regular communication with management and ensure timely updates on delivery status.
  • Utilize personal mobile phone to scan parcels accurately and maintain records as required.
  • Exemplify professionalism at all times, adhering to company policies and road safety regulations.
  • Manage time effectively to complete deliveries within allocated hours.
Requirements:
  • A valid UK driver's license with a minimum of one year of proven van experience.
  • No more than six points on your driving license (minor offenses only).
  • Personal mobile data to access scanning software and other essential tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong customer service capabilities, and physical ability to load/unload vehicles manually.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
What We Offer

Competitive hourly rate of £11.50, rising to £12.00 after 12 weeks of continuous employment.

This is an ongoing contract opportunity with potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.
