About the Role

I'm working with a leading consultancy in the infrastructure sector to add experienced P6 Planners/Planning Engineers to their team. With a background in infrastructure, whether rail, airports, roads, power, water, utilities, or defence, this could be an exciting opportunity. The consultancy has opportunities across England, allowing for flexible work arrangements and projects that drive industry growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Developing and delivering detailed schedules to ensure accurate progress reports.
  2. Supporting project teams with planning-related tasks, focusing on contract management and reporting requirements.
  3. Participating in project and programme planning meetings to maintain key milestones and schedule interfaces.
Challenges of the Role
  1. Maintaining effective planning processes for contract management.
  2. Ensuring accurate progress reporting for programmes.
  3. Maintaining up-to-date schedule interface requirements.
  4. Adhering to NEC contract processes for managing schedule data and submissions.
  5. Assisting in managing project commitments to prevent breaches.
Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified in a construction-related field.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling, including schedule development, control, and analysis, both in the office and the field.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction management processes.
