Consultant Psychiatrist Role

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Liaison and Urgent Care Pathway team. This position is based in East Sussex and offers a unique opportunity to work with a highly specialist multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health care and treatment to patients with severe and enduring mental illness. They will also lead and manage a team of junior medical staff, participating in service and business planning activities.

This opportunity includes:

  • A competitive salary of £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (pro rata for part-time working)
  • Relocation allowance of up to £8,000
  • Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000

We are looking for an individual with strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to shared leadership and collaborative working. The ideal candidate will have experience in both acute medicine and liaison psychiatry.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Approved clinician status OR ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty
