About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Kent and Medway. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting children and young people with complex needs, particularly those who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Electronic Assistive Technology (EAT).

Key Responsibilities

  • Take a lead on Occupational Therapy needs, working with a multi-disciplinary team to assess and support children and young people with complex needs.
  • Deliver training courses to professionals who support children and young people with less complex needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure best practice in supporting children and young people with complex needs.

Requirements

  • Professional Occupational Therapy qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
  • Substantial post-qualification experience working as a paediatric therapist, including children with severe and complex needs that require the use of AAC and AT.
