About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Activities Coordinator to join our team at Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of care homes. As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating environment that enhances the wellbeing and quality of life for our residents.
You will be responsible for devising imaginative activities programmes that cater to every interest and ability. This may include organizing events, planning outings, and providing one-to-one support to residents. Your goal will be to maximize everyone's independence, social engagement, and overall satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging activities programmes for residents
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff members
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care services
- Provide support and guidance to residents on their personal goals and aspirations
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be warm, empathetic, and able to build trust with residents and their families. Your organizational skills and driven mindset will enable you to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines. While similar experience is beneficial, we provide comprehensive training to help you develop your skills and progress your career.
