Job Overview

The Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team of 28 therapists and therapy assistants. As a key member of our paediatric team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and young people with language difficulties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise in supporting the delivery of high standards of therapeutic care for patients within your care.
  • Manage your own caseload and provide a high standard of assessment, management, treatment, and advice to meet the needs of patients.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in health, social care, local authority, and other agencies to meet the needs of patients.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources available within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of the service and represent the Therapy Team in meetings and discussions.
  • Ensure Clinical Governance is integral to service delivery within the specialty area.
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified clinician with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to work effectively in a team and adapt to change. You will have a professional specific degree and be a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. You will also have relevant undergraduate experience of working with a paediatric caseload and using a range of assessment tools and therapeutic interventions.
