The Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Paediatric Team. As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and young people with language disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise in supporting the delivery of high standards of therapeutic care for patients within your care.
- Manage your own caseload and provide a high standard of assessment, management, treatment, and advice to meet the needs of patients.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in health, social care, local authority, and other agencies to meet the needs of patients.
- Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources available within the team.
- Contribute to the development of the service and represent the Therapy Team in the wider Therapy service.
The Paediatric Team is a dynamic and supportive team of 28 therapists and therapy assistants working across multiple clinical pathways. We offer a range of opportunities for professional development, including clinical supervision, training, and research participation.

- Professional specific degree (e.g., BSc Speech Sciences or Masters in Medical Sciences).
- Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Completion of the RCSLT Newly Qualified Practitioner Goals.
- Registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
- Car driver.
- Relevant undergraduate experience of working with a paediatric caseload.
- Relevant undergraduate experience of working with a range of assessment tools and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Relevant undergraduate experience of working with children with language difficulties and/or DLD.
