Role Overview

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to provide tailored support to students with unique educational needs. Your role will involve classroom assistance, one-on-one and small group support, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support:
    • Provide individual or small group support to enhance students' academic and social development.
    • Encourage independent learning and resilience through structured activities and personalised guidance.
    • Foster a nurturing environment that boosts students' confidence and self-esteem.
  • Classroom Assistance:
    • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to the unique needs of our students.
    • Help maintain a well-organised, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
    • Monitor and report on student progress to the teaching team.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Support students during transitions, breaks, and school outings.
    • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
    • Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Requirements
