Account Handling Job Description

Centre People Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Account Handler to join our team in the City of London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in Property and Liability insurance to take on a challenging role that requires strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Manager of Global Services - London in account handling, obtaining and issuing quotations for new and renewed business, providing day-to-day servicing of clients' insurance programs, and managing credit control processes. They will also be required to prepare and issue policy documentation, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory issues.

In addition to the core responsibilities, the Commercial Account Handler will be expected to act as the PO for multi-territory/multi-platform programmes, manage workflow, ensure timely and accurate servicing of multi-territory/multi-platform accounts, and create and maintain legal, regulatory, tax, and local operational information. They will also be responsible for building and maintaining fronting company, claim TPA, and risk engineering networks.

Account Handling Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager of Global Services - London in account handling
  • Obtain and issue quotations for both new, and renewed, business
  • Provide day-to-day servicing of the clients' insurance programs
  • Effectively manage and respond to queries regarding changes in coverages and risks
  • Manage and co-ordinate global insurance programs and liaise with the network as necessary
  • Effectively manage Credit Control processes
  • Prepare and issue policy documentation
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage queries related to allocated accounts
  • Maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory issues
