Job Title: Librarian

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Librarian to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our library services team, you will be responsible for providing information and library services to our staff and students.

About the Role

  • Providing information and library services to staff and students
  • Developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills of our staff
  • Collaborating with our Knowledge and Library Services Manager to develop and implement library services and resources
  • Contributing to the development of our library collection and resources
  • Providing user support and training on the use of library resources and services
Key Responsibilities

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality information and library services to staff and students
  • Developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills of our staff
  • Collaborating with our Knowledge and Library Services Manager to develop and implement library services and resources
  • Contributing to the development of our library collection and resources
  • Providing user support and training on the use of library resources and services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in librarianship or a related discipline
  • Excellent IT skills, including word processing, databases, and use of web-based resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work at speed, methodically and consistently, with accuracy and a high level of attention to detail
