Job Description

In this critical role as a Health, Safety, and Fire Compliance Officer with VanRath, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of health, safety, and fire compliance across various sectors. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing health, safety, and fire policies, procedures, and guidelines that meet regulatory requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute your skills and experience to enhancing fire safety in the public sector. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training programs to ensure a culture of compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review, and implement health, safety, and fire policies, procedures, and guidelines that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with staff at all levels to promote a culture of health, safety, and fire awareness.
  • Provide training and support to staff on health, safety, and fire matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and other health, safety, and fire-related events.
Requirements:
  • A relevant degree and 2 years' experience of providing Fire Safety advice in a complex organisation.
  • OR HNC/HND and 3 years' experience of providing Fire Safety advice in a complex organisation.
  • OR 5 years' experience working in a local government, Health Care or similar environment in a role which requires specialist knowledge of Fire Safety activities.
  • Hold a full UK Driving licence.
