About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at Clifton Park Hospital, a leading independent sector elective orthopaedic hospital in York. As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will work at a senior middle grade level with appropriate levels of supervision from named senior Consultant specialist surgeons undertaking high volumes of Orthopaedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake high volumes of Orthopaedic procedures with supervision from senior Consultant specialist surgeons.
  • Participate in established research programmes and aim for at least one research publication and/or presentation during tenure.
  • Agree and sign an educational contract with a Supervisor on appointment.
  • Work 40 hours a week, including time for CPD, with the option for a part-time position.
  • No on-call or out-of-hours commitment.

We offer excellent training experience for higher surgical trainees, including SpRs and post-CCT fellows, as part of their Higher Surgical Training.

Requirements
  • Current GMC registration.
  • Completion of or working towards FRCS (Tr and Orth) and commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
  • Competent in clinical governance, audit, and team work.
