About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading the commercial aspects of our mixed-tenure developments in the North West region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial and risk aspects of multiple projects, ensuring optimal profitability and cash flow.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with commercial and company procedures.
  • Prepare and present external valuations to clients, and negotiate variations and pricing.
  • Manage subcontract procurement, ensuring compliance with company procedures and timely payment notices.
  • Contribute to the development of life-of-site cost and revenue forecasts, and provide cost and value engineering advice.
  • Lead the personal development of associated surveying resources, including training and reviews.
  • Ensure a proactive approach to dispute avoidance, and maintain company health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably with a main contractor or developer.
  • Proven commercial and risk management skills, with a strong reputation for integrity and sound business judgment.
  • Ability to manage and train junior surveyors, and contribute to the development of the commercial team.
  • Strong analytical, oral, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Degree-qualified, preferably with professional membership of MCIOB or RICS.
  • Strong knowledge of groundworks, roads, and sewers, with experience of COINs and 4p (viewpoint).
