Derby Derbyshire, United Kingdom Lovell Full time

Permanent 40 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join us within Lovells East Midlands team, working on Mixed Tenure and/or Contracting schemes within the region. The role will be site based, with occasional travel to our regional office in Derby

Reporting to our Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial cost control and reporting of one or more developments from the Award up to and including completion of client and sub-contract final accounts, recovery / discharge of all retentions and completion of archive material.

Working within a busy Quantity Surveying department, you will ensure effective cash management and careful administration of subcontractor accounts, at all times being aware of the need to cultivate longstanding relationships and promote dispute avoidance. As a senior member of the team, you will supervise and train Assistant and Trainee Surveyors, setting targets and allocating duties whilst maintaining quality.

Educated to a minimum of degree level in quantity surveying, you will have substantial relevant experience gained from within the construction industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, you will have significant knowledge of measurement and valuation in addition to final accounts and sub-contract orders and buying.
