Job Summary

  • Able to demonstrate and deliver a scope for building works, repairs and installation of a drying program in a safe manner – identifying and demonstrating best practices to rectify escape of water situations that arise in our customers properties
  • Devising a settlement plan with the customer, settling the claim in the best way possible
  • Working quickly with the customer to place them in alternative accommodation should this be needed, or arrange for temporary solutions to be put in place
  • Responsibility for equipment provided by the company (including a vehicle) and you will be expected to travel to various locations throughout the week
  • Escalating any high complexity work with suggested solutions to your Surveying Lead for review and call upon/work with other suppliers within the Hastings Home Claim supply chain to support the overall claims process and policy holder journey
  • Collaborating with the operational lead to enhance your knowledge and skills to ensure optimal field surveying outcomes driving drying times and effective settlements for our customers

About You

  • An extensive knowledge of Flood/Escape Damage Management, best practice and principles, knowledge of health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation
  • Evidence, knowledge & experience of all damage perils and restoration scenarios, being able to demonstrate the usage of supplied tools/equipment
  • B DMA or equivalent technical qualification with the experience of investigating and managing domestic property claims, including excellent customer care skills when dealing with policy holders and damage in properties
