Network Infrastructure Specialist

CDS, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, is seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our onsite team, you will be responsible for providing Network Infrastructure support across a large client campus.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues on all networking infrastructure.
- Act as a primary point of contact for user issues and queries.
- Configure and deploy network equipment.
- Adhere to strict policies and processes around security and data protection.
- Ensure SLA requirements and Customer Satisfaction metrics are on or above target.
- Create and maintain comprehensive and meaningful updates in the customer's ticket handling system.
- Escalate issues appropriately to internal and customer management teams.
- Work with Aruba Airwave & Clearpass.
- Collaborate closely with the customer to ensure project deliverables.
- Manage communication with the customer on complex technical problems.
- Develop internal technical documents for the local team.
- Complete Passive or Active Wireless surveys.
- Review and update firmware.
- Take ownership of risk and escalation.
- Be the primary contact and owner of wireless services across the estate.
- Drive HPE value-add service enhancements through innovation and process improvement.
- Aruba / HPE Network accreditation minimum Professional.
- Experience working with Aruba Clearpass & Airwave products.
- Proven extensive networking background, minimum 4 years experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to simplify technical detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced, structured manner to meet tight deadlines.
- Confident, collaborative working style and ability to interface with people of all levels.
- Proactive approach to work activities and support of colleagues.
- Ability to recognize and react to situations with a sense of urgency and problem ownership.
- Knowledge of network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Nokia, and HPE/Aruba.
- Beneficial to have knowledge of Palo Alto & Fortinet Firewalls.
- Network Management: HPE IMC and Solarwinds.
- ITIL Service Management Foundation.
- Experience of IT incident management.
- Knowledge of multiple vendors' equipment.
- Operational delivery support and implementation of new network support services for large UK-based clients.
- Fluke and other cable test equipment.
