Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Database Engineer with SSIS expertise to join our team in Central London. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality data pipelines using SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop SSIS packages to automate and streamline data processes
  • Support existing SSIS ETLs, fine-tune, and enhance existing codes to increase robustness and error monitoring
  • Collaborate with the internal IT department to implement software platform changes and upgrades
  • Convert legacy Hyperion reports to SSRS
  • Develop software solutions to address business requirements, using advanced 4GL programming languages
  • Build data pipelines within the SQL environment, introduce new fields and data types, and create tabular models for business units
  • Integrate with sub-systems using data abstraction and connectivity layers
  • Ensure the environment runs optimally, with high-standard housekeeping procedures
  • Provide second and third-level support for in-house programs during the end of day cycle
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, report policy/procedure breaches, and accurately execute controls to minimize risk
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent
  • High-level proficiency in MS SQL stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
  • Desirable: C# programming/JavaScript programming
  • Knowledge of software analysis and design good practice, dimensional modeling, entity relationship modeling, normalized modeling, and data warehouse design concepts
